Dogs are more than just cute companions. Having a dogs around can positively impact on the productivity of office workers. When we are stressed, our nervous systems go into overdrive which can lead to quicker exhaustion. Just a minute or two petting or playing with a dog can lower blood pressure and bring about relaxation and ease. Plus, since the dog will need to be walked, going for a brief stroll can help us physically as well as give us that mental break we need to help us return to our work refreshed and ready for more.

Here are some ideas to help make having a dog in the office more pleasant and possible.

Let’s face it, although we are going to take the dog on walks, we might get distracted and they may not be able to wait until we get them outside. Having these pads available so the dog can relieve themselves is a great idea, much better than cleaning up accidents on our floors and carpet. They are highly absorbent and easily can contain any mess.
This style of underpad has sticky tags that can help the pad stay in place. The 36 by 24 inch size makes these great for covering a large area. Not only are these a great idea for avoiding workplace puppy disasters, but they can keep water and food spills from staining our carpets and floors as well. Having an abundance of the pads available will make having dogs in the office much more enjoyable because there will be much less mess.
A great way to encourage enjoyment of our canine friends is to give them a costume inspired by holiday events. This cute Halloween inspired costume has a puffy design that looks like carved pumpkins. The back of the costume has flashing lights which makes it that more appealing. The comfort of the dog is assured because it is made with soft and flexible material. There are two velcro straps making this very adjustable.
Here is another slightly different Halloween costume, because we might have more than one pup in the office. What fun for us all if the dogs are dressed up in a matching theme. This also has LED flashing lights in the back of the costume. These are controlled by a battery pack in the back of the shirt. This will fit well with its comfortable and soft material.
Here is another costume that also has bright lights to catch the eye. This one has a flag theme which makes it perfect for the 4th of July. This theme could also be used as a sort of action figure costume, so the pooch can take on a super hero role. There is comfort in the design of the costume with the soft and flexible material.

Now we have some great ideas to help dogs not only be in our office, but also partners in our quest to provide stress reduction and relaxation for the health and productivity of our workers. They may not be official employees but office dogs are company assets.
